NCAT's legislative efforts are integral to creating and maintaining successful centers.

In the coming months, the NCAT Advocacy Page will focus on the issues and unmet needs of underserved populations in American Cities and demonstrate how NCAT affiliate centers provide a place that fosters a sense of belonging for its stakeholders, a place that has a great deal of credibility and legitimacy and a place that has a primary focus on and response to human needs.  NCAT affiliate centers, on a daily basis, continue to build our Communities through public, private and social sector partnerships and collaborations. This is the work of good public policy and a healthy and productive America.

Soon this page will provide you with legislative updates, introduce you to our Congressional Champions and teach you how to work with the local NCAT affiliate centers and their stakeholders to build city & state wide coalitions that supports the public, private and civic partnerships that work in concert to effect change and provide hope to those who need it most.

The National Center for Arts & Technology offers an innovative approach to education, seeking to bring back credibility and legitimacy to the fabric of urban communities.  The affiliated centers create environments that purposefully connect to other institutions, employers, public schools, social service organizations and political systems within the community by providing training to the under- or unemployed, as well as offering applied and experiential learning through the arts for young people who have been targeted as potential “drop outs.”
